Greta: Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain Dog mix.  This is this girl's FIRST TIME being groomed!  (I FORGOT to get a finished picture because we were clearly having way too much fun together!)  Does she look comfortable with this process or what?
Dudley: Australian Shepherd/Akita Mix.  Not all of the work I do with heavily-coated dogs requires trimming.  Dudley's coat is washed, conditioned and polished with a dirt-repellant finishing spray before nearly every piece of shedding coat is removed with a flurry of brushes, combs, undercoat rakes, the velocity dryer, and lastly, the "Furminator" tool.  See that fluffy, black, cloud-like puff in the bottom left corner?  That's a portion of the FULL grocery bag of dead coat that Dudley won't be shedding on his family's furniture or clothing anymore!  He's absolutely gorgeous!
Bandit: Golden/Samoyed Mix.  Normally, Bandit's coat is long, thick, and dense like a Samoyed's, but you may notice the way his haunches are tucked strangely beneath him - this is because he has severe Hip Dysplasia.  He was shaved pre-operatively to facilitate keeping him clean during and after his surgery.  We're sending well-wishes, Bandit!
Bandit: Golden/Samoyed Mix.  Here's some updates on my poor little pal.  His hip surgery had MAJOR complications, and in these before and after photos, his femur is healing from a fracture with only a wire holding the split bone together - needless to say, he had to be handled with the utmost care as not to further his pain or add to his $10,000 vet bill!!!  He was groomed almost entirely while lying down and is now sporting a lion cut with a shaved body (to match the length of his surgery-shave spots) and a longer, scissored "mane".  Please get better soon, my friend!
Wrigley: Sheltie/Australian Shepherd mix.  I had no idea until after he was finished that this was Wrigley's first time being groomed, and he handled the entire process as if he'd been doing this all of his life.  He's a uniform 1.25" all over, and although I don't recommend this type of haircut on coat like his, I'm not unhappy with the result!  (Coat like his may not grow back properly and it's hard not to make it look choppy).
Bandit: Golden/Samoyed Mix.  It's official, folks: wishes really DO come true!  It's my pal, Bailey STANDING for his lion cut!  He is now able to enjoy a half-day's daycare playing with some of his low-key pals and able to stand for most of his grooming.  Now you can actually see the lion cut pattern!
Ben: Sheltie/Corgi mix.  He's a shy guy, but he's a perfectly well-behaved guy... and CUTE!.  He's a uniform 1" all over, and although I don't recommend this type of haircut on coat like his, like that of Wrigley's, I think he looks great!  (Coat like his may not grow back properly and it's hard not to make it look choppy).
